We are two weeks out from opening our doors and things are getting crazy at the workspace. The majority of the carpet has been torn up, the window has been put in, ceiling grid work was being installed today, lights are being installed, ceiling tiles are to come and then the space will take on its personality as we start to paint and add the decor.

Even though all this is exciting, we are more excited about the physical structure being completed and what is coming in the months ahead that will take place within the walls. The workspace is really about the people and their connections, collaborations and creations.

We are excited about the Dedicated Members that have chosen to call inTANDEM workspace home and look forward to growing our membership. We ask that you show your support by following us on Facebook, check our website frequently for events and read our blog where we’ll be sharing information on coworking, growing your business as well as showcasing our members and events.

A great big THANK YOU to Larry and Kay Ross who understand the value that providing a workspace will bring to our community and working with us to create a space that the workspace can will call home. Thank you to all those that have shared their monetary support for the space as well: David Larson, Jan Horsfall, Maureen Collins-Williams, Denise Conrad and Deb Brown. A special thank you to Joel Bennett of Veel Hoeden, Iowa’s first rural coworking space. Joel has been an amazing source of information and guidance as we took on this new venture. It is nice to have someone who has traveled the road ahead of us and is willing to share their experiences.

We’ll share another blog next week on the progress of the space but in the meantime, here is a great video that shares what coworking is and how it is changing the way we work.
